Following the merger of Housing Plus Group and The Wrekin Housing Group in January 2025, our new organisation is at a pivotal transformation point. As a leading, place-based provider of housing and care services, this customer focused organisation has the resilience to deliver for communities across our region while being a great place for our people to work and develop themselves.

Our current Chair is due to step down from the board and we are looking to recruit to a new Chair to join our newly merged organisation and help us continue our journey to deliver our promise: “To create places that our customers are proud to call home.”

We are looking for an individual who understands social housing and the complex, regulated operating environment that we work in.  As we continue to integrate, experience of mergers and acquisitions will be valuable.  You will bring experience at Committee Chair level in a similar size/complex organisation at a minimum and have a healthy appreciation for good governance and will bring skills in managing discussion and getting the best out of individuals. You will be an individual who has a passion for customer service and true customer engagement. To be successful in this role we need an outcome focused leader who supports, engages and challenges constructively.
